Royal Assent to Bills

His Honour the Lieutenant-Governor entered the chamber and took his seat on the throne.

In Her Majesty's name, His Honour the Lieutenant-Governor doth assent to this act.

Prorogation Address

Hon. S. Point (Lieutenant-Governor): Mr. Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly, in closing this fourth session of the 38th parliament of British Columbia, I wish to commend you on the accomplishments of the past year. This session has seen the passage of measures of wide-ranging and significant importance to the people of our province.

Hon. Members, on behalf of all British Columbians, I wish to express my appreciation for the care and attention you've given to your deliberations. I now relieve you of your legislative duties.

His Honour the Lieutenant-Governor retired from the chamber.

Hon. W. Oppal: Thank you, hon. Speaker, Members of the Legislative Assembly. It is His Honour the Lieutenant-Governor's will and pleasure that the Legislative Assembly be prorogued until two o'clock today, and this Legislative Assembly is hereby prorogued accordingly.

The House prorogued at 10:09 a.m.

 

Errata

Thursday, May 29, 2008 (Volume 35, Number 5), page 13135. An error occurred in the report of the vote on second reading of Bill 24, E-Health (Personal Health Information Access and Protection of Privacy) Act. The Hon. Carole Taylor's name should have been added to the list of yea votes, bringing the total to 41 yeas.
